ANDALUSIA MUSEUM OF MEMORY
ARCHITECTURE . ALBERTO CAMPO BAEZA
YEAR . 2006 - 2009
LOCATION . GRANADA, SPAIN
Accordingly to the architects the project is an extension of the Central Headquarters of the CAJA GRANADA Savings Bank, completed in 2001. It features a three-story podium building (60x120 m), aligned with the main CAJA GRANADA building, including a matching façade and podium level. The design centers around an elliptical courtyard, inspired by the courtyard of the Palace of Charles V in the Alhambra, with circular ramps connecting the levels and creating dynamic spatial tension. A vertical structure, equal in height to the main building, rises as a gateway to the city.
